INTRODUCTION ABOUT GEPIMEX 404 COMPANY

² Gepimex 404 Company is a state owned enterprise, directly unders Ministry of Defence. Established according to Minister’s decision of Ministry of Defence.

² Base on decree 388/HĐBT dated 20/11/1991 of Cabinet council, agree to re-establish state owned enterprise with function of processing sea products for export and exporting business.

² The enterprise’s trade name is Gepimex 404 Company. Head office is at Le Hong Phong street, Binh Thuy district, Can Tho city.

Establishment and development of the Enterprise: 

² Before 1975, this enterprise was built and used by puppet army.

² Since December, 1977 the enterprise was established and began  operating. First, it was called light industry team, then renamed to Processing 404 Workshop with function of processing food products for “rear serve for front line”,  mainly serve for soldiers of whole military zone, who were didrectly fighting or being in task on neighbouring  provinces with main products as: dry provisions, Chinese sausage, pork cooked with fish sauce, fish sauce, biscuits, peanut candy, bread…it was operated according to completely subsidizing mode.

² 1982, the enterprise was renamed to Processing 404 Enteprise step by step, it escaped from subsidizing structure with mode of activity “half trade, half subsidize” posted and sent interest in military zone.

² April, 1989 because the situation and background of country had many changes and being on strong development. The enterprise completely changed to structure of market, independently posted and accepted to compete. To exist and expand, the entreprise was upgraded to Processing Sea Products 404 Company according to stipulation 076 of Ministry of Defence and total receipts of business production was sent in military zone’s budget, The Finance Bureau of Ministry of Defence.

² Up to now, Gepimex 404 Company has actually been a state owned enterprise, that has been reinforced and arranged, always completed superior’s mission: production, quality, prestige more and more raise, personal’s life has been improved clearly.
